Enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong SMEs and start-ups in the digital era

Enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong SMEs and start-ups in the digital era
Under our third objective, we will groom and support Hong Kong-based start-ups to sustain Hong Kong's long-term economic growth. We will beef up our SME start-up programme to nurture potential entrepreneurs and sharpen their capabilities in leveraging on new marketing tools of the digital era. Our outreach programme will be expanded to target start-ups newly arrived from overseas. In view of the rising production costs in the Pearl River Delta, we will help Hong Kong SMEs identify alternative manufacturing bases. Capitalising on the growing popularity of the Internet and mobile communication, we will make use of the social media to engage our stakeholders and reach out to the community.
