This Annual Plan is an overview of the objectives and strategies of the Trade Development Council (TDC) for promoting and growing Hong Kong's external trade. It maps our promotional direction over a rolling three-year planning horizon, and highlights key initiatives to be introduced in the coming fiscal year.

In 2003/04 TDC will continue to work towards medium-term objectives identified last year, with a view to enhancing the focus and depth of our promotions and services. "Partnering for Success" is our central theme for 2003/04.

In 2003/04, we will continue to work towards four objectives:
Develop the Chinese mainland as Hong Kong's domestic market;
Build on Hong Kong's global trade platform;
Enhance and promote the competitive advantages of Hong Kong SMEs; and
Strive to be the world's leading trade promotion organisation.
