Lacklustre performance around the world coupled with ambitious development and trade liberalisation programmes in Developing Asia has drawn more attention to the region. It is hence crucial to firmly establish Hong Kong as the most effective two-way investment and business hub for international companies eyeing Asia and for Asian companies wanting to go global. Our priority in the coming year is to develop Hong Kong as the premier Belt and Road intelligence hub and investment integrator while championing Hong Kong as the gateway to Asia for global businesses. The mainland will be a particular priority for our services providers with the many opportunities arising from the 13th Five-Year Plan.
