iShipExchange partners with Mariner's Annual

Hong Kong-based maritime e-procurement service provider iShipExchange and North American based Mariner's Annual jointly announced in December the signing of a marketing partnership agreement. The agreement aims to extend the supplier and customer bases of both companies and to expand their respective marketing opportunities.

Mariner's Annual serves over 500 manufacturers and suppliers of marine-related products and equipment, and distributed nearly 8,000 copies of its 2001 Ordering Guide to potential buyers.

Donald Staffin, VP of Business Strategy and Development for iShipExchange said: "This partnership will develop, increase and promote our supplier/buyer database and provide a unique quality of content, from a supplier's viewpoint, on a worldwide basis.

"Mariner's Annual represents an opportunity to combine traditional publishing and editorial expertise with state-of-the-art technology; to expand our North American market presence and to increase our product offerings and trading opportunities for both supplier and buyer.

"Their editorial excellence, longstanding relationships, and impeccable reputation from 45 years of serving the industry makes Mariner's Annual an especially desirable partner for iShipExchange."

Chris Kerr, President of Charles Kerr Enterprises and publisher of Mariner's Annual, is equally keen about the arrangement, saying: "We are very excited about this partnership, as it will simultaneously help us increase our distribution, strengthen Mariner's Annual's presence globally, and allow us to take full advantage of iShipExchange's expertise to harness the power of the internet in helping our suppliers reach their target market."

iShipExchange is a Hong Kong based e-procurement service that uses a web-based system to integrate both suppliers and buyers requirements in a unique and cost-effective fashion.
