Maersk Logistics receives export marketing prize

Maersk Logistics was awarded the main prize in Export Marketing by the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries in December. The prize was presented by HKSAR Financial Secretary Antony Leung during the 2001 Awards Presentation Gala Dinner.

The awards were initiated by the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries in 1997 to reflect the continuously increasing importance of export services, with the main objective being to recognise excellence in export marketing. The awards are supported by the government's Financial Services Bureau and the Industry Department, while the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Retail Management Association participate in the ballot.

Maersk Logistics Hong Kong commenced operation in 1978 as a consolidator and following the industry's rapid development, the company has grown into an integrated logistics service provider, with four core business units-Supply Chain Management, Airfreight, International Forwarding and Warehousing & Distribution.

Tomas Bay, Managing Director of Maersk Logistics HK Ltd said: "We are very proud to receive this award which is an encouraging vote of confidence."

"The award further fuels our motivation to continue working very closely with the local vendor community to ensure that the overseas clients receive an outstanding level of service".

Maersk Logistics is a major player in the international logistics market, providing customised solutions for integrated supply chain management, warehousing and distribution, as well as sea- and airfreight transports.
