Accolades for DHL

DHL Worldwide Express, provider of air express services and logistics, has been ranked in the top 20 among 208 multinationals comprising Asia's leading companies as compiled by the Far Eastern Economic Review (FEER). DHL placed 17th in the Review 200 survey compiled by ACNielsen International Research (HK). Over 1,900 readers of FEER and its sister publications are asked to rank both multinational and local companies according to their performance in several key areas, including product and service offerings, customer service standards, long-term vision and financial soundness. These rankings are used as the basis to evaluate a company's overall leadership.

This is the second honour received by DHL in the last quarter of 2001. In November, DHL was ranked 14th in "Asia's Most Admired Company" survey (AMAC), commissioned by Asian Business. The survey places DHL's ranking higher than any other company in the shipping, transport and air express industries.

Commenting on the accolade, Marc Duale, Chief Operating Officer of DHL Asia Pacific said, "DHL is delighted to be one of the most respected companies in the region. We are, as always, honoured to be acknowledged by Asian Business in this survey and I would like to thank my colleagues throughout the region for their hard work and commitment which is central to this success."

In 2000, DHL was ranked within the top 40 companies in the AMAC survey and was, again, the highest ranking company in the shipping / transport industry. This year's big leap to 14th place is a reflection of the company's focus on continuous quality improvement and service expansion, as well as its investment in infrastructure and people. As such, DHL has seen expanding business volumes and a broadening of its market leadership status.
