FZ/T 43014-2008 Silk Scarf Standard
The new edition of Silk Scarf Standard
is the first revision since its issuance in 2001. It is mainly applicable
to scarves and shawls in silk and filament yarns (including regenerated
cellulosic fibres or synthetic fibres).
The new edition has a large scale
of revisions based on the original standard including:
- Add in the requirements of products
safety performance and labeling according to GB 18401 and GB 5296.4;
- Revise the grading levels to High,
Class I, and Pass;
- Add in test items like colorfastness
to wet rubbing, colorfastness to dry-clean and dimensional stability
to dry clean;
- Revise the criterion of appearance
defect and the rule of sampling quantity;
- Product specification can be marked
with the scarf's geometric sizes in centimeter, e.g., the rectangle
scarf can be marked as length x width, and the triangle scarf and shawl
can be marked as hemline length x height.
The new edition has been published
on March 12, 2008 and will be effective on September 1, 2008 nationwide.
FZ/T 81011-2008 Necktie Standard
Necktie Standard was firstly published
in 1999, and the 2008 edition is the first revision. With reference to
ASTM D 3758-2002 Standard Performance of Woven Fabric for Neckties and
Scarves, which was issued by the American Society of Testing and Materials,
and China's mandatory standard GB 18401 and GB 5296.4, the revised Standard
newly contains 10 testing items including color fastness, labeling and
related safety assessment such as formaldehyde, banned Azo dyestuff and
fibre composition. Other major amendments mainly concern the requirements
of product appearance quality, chromatism and judgment of quality defects.
Besides, the Standard requires that
necktie's specification shall be marked as full length x outmost width
The new edition was published on February
1, 2008 and became effective on July 1, 2008 nationwide.
