Bilateral Committee Meetings - 2025

The 20th Korea/Hong Kong Business Roundtable was held on 25 June 2025 in Seoul. The plenary was co-chaired by Mr Bob Chong, Chair of the Hong Kong Section, and Mr Choi Myung-Bae, Chair of the Korea section. Mr Yoon Jin Sik, Chairman of Korea International Trade Association, also joined the meeting and spoke at the opening session. Delegates from both sides engaged in dynamic discussions throughout the Roundtable. Hong Kong delegates elaborated on the opportunities available in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), while Korean participants offered valuable insights into current Korean trends in the tech and healthcare industries. During the open discussion, delegates from both parties actively exchanged ideas and arranged follow up meetings for business collaboration post-event. Besides the high-level Roundtable Meeting with Korean business leaders, the trip also included side visits to pioneering and representative Korean companies and organisations, including LG Innovation Gallery, Exicon, NAVER and CHA Bio Complex. Additionally, HKTDC hosted a Networking Dinner on 25 June for the Hong Kong delegates to meet with prominent business leaders, key multipliers and senior representatives of organisations in Korea. The evening was marked by numerous fruitful conversations.
