Dato' Chevy Beh was formerly a China-focused analyst at the Maxim Group (member of NYSE), an investment bank based in New York. His areas of expertise included assisting Chinese companies to raise funds in the US capital market. Prior to joining Maxim, he was an associate at Dominick and Dominick (member of NYSE). Beh is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) registered representative (Series 7, 63, 65). He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in Economics and East Asian Studies. He studied at various institutions, among them Cambridge University, Harvard University, Stanford University and Beijing University. He joined BP Healthcare Group in 2009 as Finance Director and assumed the position of Managing Director in October 2013. In October 2014, he founded BookDoc, a mobile based platform that connect and unite patients and healthcare professionals. Beh was awarded most promising Entrepreneurship Award at the 2012 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) and was selected the Top Nominee for the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2013 & 2014. He was also awarded the Great Entrepreneur for Brand Icon Leadership Award 2015, and Man of the Year Award 2016-2017 by the Brand Laureate. Beh was conferred with “Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang” (DIMP) by His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Istana Pahang, October 2013; making him one of the youngest in the country to be conferred. Beh is also the first Health Tech Contributor in Asia for Forbes.com.
