A new scheme allowing Hong Kong motorists to cross the border into Guangdong Province in their private cars will be open for application from 1 June, a month before its launch.

Mainland China has outlined an overall plan for promoting digitalisation across the country, including advancing the development of digital infrastructure and data resource systems.

A new plan has been drafted with an aim to establish the mainland’s first pilot trade digitalisation zone in the Greater Bay Area, operating across selected cities and districts.

Mainland China’s General Administration of Customs is trialling a local inspection administration system and a “cloud issuance” model for export inspections and quarantine certificates.
