Normal travel between Hong Kong and Mainland China has been fully resumed, with all boundary control points opened up.

Mainland talent in science, health and other fields working in the GBA will be eligible for multiple-entry visas to Hong Kong and Macao from 20 February under a pilot scheme.

Guangdong Province recently issued a compilation of policies that support Hong Kong and Macao youth and include subsidies, rental grants and preferential tax treatments.

The mainland has announced value-added tax (VAT) incentives for small-scale taxpayers for 2023, including exemption from VAT for those with monthly sales under Rmb100,000.

Visitors flock to physical events

As Hong Kong and Mainland China end travel curbs and pandemic controls continue to ease, the city is again open to business. This is underscored by robust in-person attendance at the events in January organised by the HKTDC.
