Nansha District of Guangzhou has issued new guidelines on applying for preferential individual income tax (IIT) treatment, beginning next year.

Mainland China is now allowing companies to deduct expenditure related to the funding of basic research when calculating their corporate income tax liability.

Huizhou is offering financial subsidies and other support to attract technology talent and teams to start up a business in the city.

Shenzhen has issued a range of policies to promote the development of the software industry with the aim of setting up a number of software-focused industrial parks in the city.
