22nd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design CompetitionDelightful Designs Wonderful watches that not only tell time but also make fabulous fashion statements came to the fore at the 22nd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition. The design talents that have helped Hong Kong become the world's leading watch-manufacturing centre took the opportunity to show off their latest stunning creations. Organised by the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2005 Organising Committee, the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd, the competition was divided into an open group for independent, company and student designers. Leung Yat San's innovative Time Globe design that features a map of the world took top prize in the open group, while Ma Chun Yu proved that Hong Kong's design future is in safe hands by winning the student competition with his double-strap Max concept. Both the winning entries and the finalists received an enthusiastic reception when they went on display at the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 7-11 September 2005.
