One lucky buyer will soon win a free trip to Hong Kong - just by contacting one of the thousands of suppliers in the world's leading sourcing centre!

An innovative buyer incentive programme developed by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) offers a series of invaluable prizes to buyers who make enquiries online.

"The programme has been specifically designed to remind local and overseas buyers of the tremendous opportunities available via a wide and ever-increasing range of TDC initiatives," says TDC head of e-commerce and publications Clare Wong.

"It consists of an escalating series of prizes based on the number of supplier enquiries that each buyer makes, and culminates in a lucky draw Grand Prize of an air ticket, hotel accommodation and a VIP pass to a TDC trade fair for an overseas buyer."

Participating buyers can choose to make enquiries to suppliers online at http://sourcing.tdctrade.com, or via a CD-ROM and Product Enquiry Form inserted into all of the TDC's trade magazines.

Participants receive a credit for each submission. (NB: only one credit per submission irrespective of the number of enquiries on that submission.)

"Buyers are automatically entered into the lucky draw programme immediately following their first enquiry submission - the more submissions they make, the greater their chances of winning," says Wong.

She adds that the TDC e-commerce and publications team will continue to develop and implement original promotions designed to bring buyers and suppliers together.
