TDC Business Library

The TDC Business Library is set up with the objective to provide comprehensive trade information and services to the business community in Hong Kong. Today, the library houses a collection of 40,000 books, 2,000 periodicals, 500 statistical titles, 50 videos, and many more.

Every month, the TDC Business Library and Research Information Section serve some 8,000 enquirers who come to find business contacts, export opportunities, trade rules and regulations, information on investment environments, economic situations, product and market trends etc., which are vital information to promote overseas trade. Particularly popular are the China Trade Information Centre and Fashion and Design Library within the main library set-up.

In 1995, the TDC Business Library expanded its use of advanced information technology by setting up an Electronic Data Centre. With the new state-of-the-art CD-ROM network, information retrieval became much more efficient. Library visitors can also access various local and international on-line databases such as Internet and TDC-Link Internet, utilize the many facilities installed, and draw on the wide selection of publications for their reference.
