A RECORD BREAKING FILMART TO BRING NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

FILMART

It is another record breaking year for Hong Kong International Film and Television Market (FILMART), the one-stop marketplace for international film, TV and media entertainment which is now known as one of the world's top three film markets.

With around 10% increase in scale, FILMART 2012, running from 19 to 22 March at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), will welcome over 640 exhibitors from more than 30 countries & regions and over 5,200 international visitors is expected. Various renowned international multipliers are returning with their pavilions, namely, Chinese Mainland, France, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA and Vietnam. All the national pavilions in general expanded the scales of their participation. There are also new pavilions representing exhibitors from Hungary, Mexico and Turkey.

As always, FILMART 2012 continues to receive tremendous support from the Mainland China market. This year key Mainland exhibitors will include China Film promotion International (CFPI), the China International TV Corporation (CITVC), the Television Production Committee of China Radio and Television Association as well as the Hangzhou government who joins FILMART for the first time.

There will also be over 60 special events including seminars, press conferences, cocktail receptions, premieres, night parties, making FILMART a great occasion for industry networking to create new business opportunities.

Being one of the most important highlights in FILMART, the Opening Ceremony & International Forum of TV World 2012 will have renowned industry leaders sharing their insights on the trends and opportunities of Asian TV Programming. The forum will examine prospects and global trends in TV programming. It will look at what TV industry players in Asia can do to respond to the ever-changing tastes of viewers and remain competitive in a world of escalating entertainment options.
