PRESS CONFERENCE EMBRACES REMARKABLE
To welcome the return of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong (21 March to 17 April 2011) in its seventh edition, a press conference was held on 16 February 2011 with a number of celebrated industry leaders and government officials as the officiating guests, including: Mrs Rita Lau, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development; Mr Fred Lam, Executive Director of HKTDC; Mr Peter Lam, Chairman of HKTDC Entertainment Industry Advisory Committee.
RETURN OF ENTERTAINMENT EXPO HONG KONG 2011
This year’s Entertainment Expo will encompass 10 leading entertainment events, including the 3 founding events: Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART), Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) and Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony; 5 core events: Asian Film Awards (AFA), Hong Kong–Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), Hong Kong Asian Pop Music Festival (HKAMF), IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award and Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards (ifva); as well as 2 newly-added affiliated events: Pixar: 25 Years of Animation and The 4th Digital Visual Effects Summit.
During the press conference, the organisers of the ten events introduced the highlights and special programmes of their events to around 100 industry players and media representatives.

15TH FILMART TO HOST RECORD EXHIBITOR NUMBERS
The 15th anniversary of Hong Kong International Film and Television Market (FILMART), organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held on 21-24 March 2011 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
BRINGING NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
FILMART aims at promoting Hong Kong as a one-stop marketplace for international film, TV and media entertainment and enhancing multi-media and cross-industry collaborations. After years of success, it is now known as one of the world's top three film markets.
This year it will gather around 600 exhibitors, eight times of its 1st edition, from about 30 countries and regions, including major film production companies in Hong Kong, such as Emperor Motion Pictures, Pegasus Motion Pictures, Golden Sun Films, Mandarin Films, Media Asia, Mega-Vision Pictures, Mei Ah Entertainment, Filmko Films, Universe International, Salon Films and Distribution Workshop, etc. Exhibitors from overseas include UNIFRANCE (France), Ile de France (France), Film Export UK (UK), KOFIC (Korea), KOCCA (Korea), UNIJAPAN (Japan), Jetro (Japan) and so on.
As always, FILMART 2011 continues to receive tremendous support from the Mainland China market, making it an ideal platform for industry players to gain access to the Chinese market. Besides, the inaugural U.S. Pavilion, organised by the Independent Film & TV Alliance (IFTA), and ACE Co-production Lab Hong Kong, organized by Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE) and Sinapses Asia Ltd with the support of HKTDC, Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) and Media International (European Union), will certainly bring sparks to the event.
