Hong Kong films enjoyed a rapturous reception among the audience at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the biggest in North America, featuring the latest films of renowned filmmakers.

Johnnie To’s Mad Detective and Pang Ho Cheung’s The Exodus made their world premieres at TIFF, whilst Wilson Yip’s explosive Flash Point thrilled its audience during this year’s Midnight Madness screening on 13 September.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC) had an information counter at the festival, allowing audiences and festival guests to have easy access to the latest updates on Hong Kong films, as well as the latest industry events.
