COUNTDOWN TO ENTERTAINMENT EXPO HONG KONG 2014
||The 10th Entertainment Expo Hong Kong will be held on 24 March – 13 April 2014. It will again be a global mix of film, TV, digital entertainment and music events, attracting the very best of international film stars, directors and industry professionals to Hong Kong while showcasing the leading lights of the Hong Kong entertainment industry to the world.
This year’s Entertainment Expo will encompass 9 leading entertainment events, including the 3 founding events: Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART), Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) and Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony; 5 core events: Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival (HKAMF), IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award, ifva and The 7th Asian VFX and Digital Cinema Summit; 1 affiliated event: Digital Entertainment Summit.
HONG KONG PRESENCE AT EUROPEAN FILM MARKET 2014
||Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) set up a promotional booth again at the European Film Market 2014 (EFM), running from 6-14 February, on highlighting the latest Hong Kong films.
This year, 5 Hong Kong companies exhibited at EFM on promoting their latest projects and 9 market screenings were held at EFM. Besides, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, renowned actor from Hong Kong, served as the juror of the Berlinale.
HAF filmmakers nominated in the
33rd Hong Kong Film Awards
HAF devotes to connecting film projects with investors that brings the projects to the big screen. It is always a huge motivation to HAF whenever its projects and filmmakers receive recognitions from award ceremonies. In the coming 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards, we are excited to share with you that:
- Doomsday Party, a HAF 2013 project, is nominated for Best New Performer
