HONG KONG PAVILION AT MARCHÉ DU FILM 2013
||Leading Hong Kong filmmakers has featured their latest cinematic projects at Marché du Film, which opened from 15 to 26 May as part of the concurrent 66th Festival de Cannes (Cannes Film Festival).
This year’s Hong Kong Pavilion was the largest to take part in the event. It included six Hong Kong exhibitors organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), as well as another six companies organised by the Hong Kong Motion Picture Association (MPIA), which secured funding from CreateHK and support from the Movie Producers & Distributors Association of Hong Kong. The 12 Hong Kong companies showcased their latest productions, discussed co-production projects and talk financing and marketing with buyers from all over the world.
|The Hong Kong Pavilion at the trade event’s Riviera section featured exhibits by All Rights Entertainment Ltd, Edko Films Ltd, Entertaining Power Co Ltd, Film Mall Ltd, Film Plus, Fortune Star Entertainment (HK) Ltd, Golden Scene Co Ltd, Good Idea Movie Production Co Ltd, Mega-Vision Pictures Ltd, Popular Lead Ltd, Universe Films Distribution Co Ltd and We Distribution Ltd.
||At Marché du Film, another 10 Hong Kong companies presented their latest offerings at individual stands. They were: Deltamac (Hong Kong) Co Ltd, Digital Magic, Distribution Workshop (HK) Ltd, Easternlight Films, Emperor Motion Pictures, Fortissimo Films, Golden Network Asia Ltd, Media Asia Film, Pegasus Motion Pictures Distribution Ltd and Star Alliance Movies (HK) Co Ltd.
Once again, Hong Kong had its own business support centre at the International Village, and the networking sessions of "Dim Sum Hours" continued to be well received by the market participants. Such value-adding business exchange opportunities and networking experience among Hong Kong and International industry players were highly rated and appreciated.

The 11th HAF concludes successfully
The 11th Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) has concluded its three-day forum in late March 2013. Organised by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS) and running concurrently with the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART), the HAF connects filmmakers with financiers, producers, distributors and buyers. In the 11th edition, approximately 700 private business meetings had been arranged for the 30 filmmaking teams including 25 HAF Projects and 5 HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award Finalists over the three-day period.
