HONG KONG DAY AT AFM 2012 STRENGHTENS HONG KONG-US COLLABORATION

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) organised the Hong Kong Day again on 1 November 2012 during the American Film Market (AFM), which ran from 31 October to 7 November 2012 in Los Angeles, California, featuring a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the Loews Hotel entrance, a seminar about the advantages of co-producing in Hong Kong, a cocktail reception and the screening of Hong Kong movies. |
Attracting more than 100 industry professionals, the Hong Kong Day seminar, " Hong Kong: Your Ideal Co-production Partner and Gateway to the China Market ", was moderated by Mr Patrick Frater, CEO of Film Business Asia. Speakers included Mr Zhou Tiedong, President, China Film Promotion International; Ms Yvonne Chuang, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Tomson International Entertainment Distribution Ltd; Ms Janet Yang, President, Janet Yang Productions; and Ms Tracey Trench, President , Tracey Trench Productions. |

Rounding out the Hong Kong Day events and activities, about 200 guests from Hong Kong and overseas attended the Hong Kong reception. |
