The American Film Market 2010 (AFM) in Los Angeles will be held between 3 and 10 November, 2010. As in previous years, there will be a strong presence of Hong Kong films at the event. In addition, Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will launch the Hong Kong Day in AFM for the first time.
Hong Kong Day will be officially kicked off with an Opening Ceremony by the management of AFM & HKTDC. A Press Conference will then be held to make important announcements of US-HK collaboration initiatives.
The highlights of Hong Kong Day include the HKTDC Seminar titled "Hong Kong: Asia's Co-production Centre and Gateway to the China Market" to be held on 4 November, followed by a Hong Kong Reception at Santa Monica Le Merigot Hotel, which facilitates networking and the exploring of business opportunities with international industry players. A promotion booth is also set up at AFM to promote Hong Kong film industry to the attending international buyers.
